I had quite the surprise when I took this photo.  Once this wave crashed against this bank, I took the photo trying to capture the splash with the sunset in the background.  A second or two later, the ground shook under my feet and I heard this loud blowing sound, then suddenly about two feet in front of me a small portion of the ground broke open and a small spray of water came through.  Basically, this wave created a new blowhole right in front of me.  It kind of freaked me out when it was happening.  This area is not a remote location, its a very high trafficked location with a sidewak just 6 inches from where the water spewed out.  Apparently, there are some openings under the rock face where the incoming water can come under where I was standing.
