Stay Away from my Boat!

Two days in a row I went out and got some pictures.  I haven't done that in a long time.  Headed a little further from the beach on my way today.  Again I forgot my tripod adapter so I had to either hand-hold or put the camera on a rock to keep it steady.  Enjoy.

When I first saw these boats I immediately thought of the classic TV show Gilligan's Island.  The reality is that when high tide comes in they can easily unbeach themselves and head out onto the water.  it was a beautiful day and despite that this was taken a midday the heavy clouds provided adequate light.  It would've been better if it was closer to golden hour but I took the shot while I had the opportunity.  I may go back to this area later in the day someday.

Setting Sun at Kadena Marina

Going back to the archives today.  The serene setting with the sunset and the boat in harbor bring me back to this photo again and again.  It was a bit difficult to get a sharp photo because I was standing on a floating pier and the water wasn't perfectly calm.  I guess I got a bit lucky on this one to not get too much movement.  This is a 3 frame HDR (blended exposures) photo with some love from Photoshop.
