Telephoto Oceanscape

Here is another composition during my visit to Monzamo here in Okinawa about 3 weeks ago.  I captured these two islands with my 70-200mm 2.8 lens.  I also had my Variable ND filter but don't remember how many stops I had it set for on this shot.  It is a 3 frame HDR +-2 stops but the average shutter speed was 15 seconds; that's why the clouds and water are so smooth.

Telephoto Landscape; Monzamo

I headed out to Monzamo, I well known tourist spot, for the specific purpose of photographing these two rocks connected by a rope.  I didn't go to the tourist location because it didn't give me the look I was trying to get.  While this isn't quite right either, I do know where to park and how to get to a better location next time.  I wanted to use my new 70-200mm 2.8 lens for some long reach landscapes.  The sunset turned out good today so I took quite a few with my other lenses as well, but most were with the telephoto zoom.  This is a long exposure photo made with 3 photos blended together.  The longest exposure was 8 seconds which provides the smooth, silky water.
